On the 25th of April Africa Matters hosted a free event in Parktown, Johannesburg. We invited 4 young womxn professionals to lead a discussion on the challenges faced by young womxn in the workplace and their experiences as managers.
Africa Matters hosted a free Millennials in the Workplace discussion led by Millennial African womxn who are either employees or managers in their respective working environments

In January Africa Matters assisted The Aurum Institute and UnlockD facilitate a 1-year learnership programme that aims to leverage youth unemployment in efforts to decrease the spread of HIV and TB in South Africa.

In July 2018 Farai represented the Africa Matters Initiative at the
inaugural African Youth Networks Summit.
The summit was held at Freedom Park in Pretoria, South Africa. Farai spoke on a panel
on the theme, ‘Creating African Narratives using Traditional and Digital Media.’
