Anne Sharlene is the project manager for the School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP).
The SLDP workshop we ran at Beaulieu College on the 9th and 10th of April was just amazing!
The students were not just engaging out of compulsion but out of genuine interest on the topics discussed. Their knowledge on African Leadership and their keen interest to take up positions in society as change agents in their own right was what was most inspiring.
They did not just take what was given to them, they questioned until they understood and all of this was done with the humility and desire to learn and not out of arrogance.
I was inspired by how they worked well in teams. They had a good sense of each other's strengths and weaknesses, and great communication skills. They participated and were attentive throughout the sessions.
I had a great time being among them and listening to them take charge of the entire workshop; an awesome group of great African leaders who are keen to play their part in making sure Africa Matters.
